J & J Snack Foods Q1 Income Advances 11%

(RTTNews) - J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) released earnings for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $12.48 million, or $0.66 per share. This was up from $11.26 million, or $0.60 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.65 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.7% to $222.85 million. This was up from $212.75 million last year.
