We are pleased to announce that Richard Twomey, presently international Vice President of the California-based orthodontics company Align Technology, will join Mölnlycke Health Care as new CEO as of April 1, 2014. Richard Twomey is a strong successor to Pierre Guyot, who has decided to leave the company to pursue personal interests.

"I am very glad to welcome Richard Twomey, who has a solid med tech background and strong track record in leading growing businesses. I would also like to thank Pierre for his excellent contribution during his seven years as CEO. During this period, Mölnlycke Health Care has seen a very successful development in terms of growth and profitability, and the company has grown into an undisputed leader in many of its markets”, comments Mölnlycke Health Care Chairman Gunnar Brock.

"I believe that Richard Twomey is a great recruitment, and his knowledge and expertise will truly benefit Mölnlycke going forward. I would like to thank Pierre for his highly successful work in making Mölnlycke Health Care a leading company in its field. During his leadership, Mölnlycke has evolved from a rather local player with focus on Northern Europe into an international leader in a very competitive market”, says Börje Ekholm, President and CEO of Investor AB.
