Intersil Corp. Reveals 50% Gain In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Intersil Corp. (ISIL) revealed a profit for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $31.32 million, or $0.22 per share. This was up from $20.82 million, or $0.15 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.18 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.3% to $139.05 million. This was up from $128.40 million last year.
