InfoSpace Names Stuart West, Vice President Corporate Development and Chief Strategy Officer

InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ:INSP), today announced the appointment of Stuart West as vice president of corporate development and chief strategy officer. In this role, West will oversee the company’s corporate strategy and M&A activities. Mr. West will report directly to Jim Voelker, chairman, president and chief executive officer of InfoSpace.

Mr. West brings 17 years of experience to InfoSpace in a variety of finance and business roles. He most recently served as vice president of operations finance at Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), where he was part of the leadership team for some of Yahoo’s largest web properties including Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Flickr, Yahoo.com and My Yahoo!

Prior to Yahoo!, West served in several executive roles at publicly-traded TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ:TIVO), including acting chief financial officer, vice president of finance and director of finance and planning. He has also served in business development and other roles with Silicon Valley venture-backed startups. Mr. West began his business career at J.P. Morgan & Co. in its New York and San Francisco investment banking groups.

West received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, the global educational non-profit behind Wikipedia.
