Infinity Pharma Q2 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (INFI) Tuesday said second-quarter loss widened to $38.0 million or $0.78 per share from $32.6 million or $0.68 per share in the same period last year.

On average, ten analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.84 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total operating expenses rose to $35.22 million from $32.76 million in the year-ago period. Research and development expenses totaled $28.17 million, up from $26.08 million, while general and administrative expenses amounted to $7.1 million, compared to $6.7 million last year.
