Infineon Enhances Magnetic Sensor Family; Announces New High Accuracy Linear Hall Sensors for Industrial Applications
Infineon Technologies (FWB:IFX) (NYSE:IFX) today introduced the TLE4997
and TLE4998 Programmable Linear Magnetic Sensors for industrial
applications. On display in the Infineon booth #327 at the Sensors Expo,
Rosemont, IL (June 9-11, 2008), the sensors expand Infineon’s
family of high-accuracy, proven performance sensors for demanding
applications.
Linear magnetic sensors are used in angle, position and current
measurement devices. Both the TL4997 and TLE4998 sensors have
programmable parameters including offset, bandwidth, polarity, output
clamping, magnet thermal compensation coefficients and memory lock,
making them highly versatile in a broad spectrum of applications. The
TLE4997 offers customers analog output, and the TLE4998 offers SENT or
PWM output interfaces, providing flexibility for industrial system
designers.” "Infineon is building on its position as a
leading provider of linear hall sensors for the automotive industry with
new products that will expand the company’s
reach to industrial applications such as position, rotation and
electrical current measurement,” said Bruce
Strachan, Sensor Marketing Manager for Infineon Technologies North
America Corp.
The Infineon TLE4997 and TLE4998 are surface mount devices (SMD) that
permit convenient package design and manufacturability. The sensors
operate at three selectable ranges: ±50, 100
or 200mTesla, have high precision output 12-bit resolution and have low
ratio-metric error over the operating temperature range of -40°C
to 150°C. The new TLE4997 and TLE4998 offer
Infineon’s highest accuracy for linear hall
sensors.
Pricing and Availability
The Infineon TLE4998 samples are available immediately, and the TLE4997
sampling will be available in September 2008. Please contact your
