Huron Consulting Profit Misses Estimate; Lifts FY Adj. Earnings Guidance

(RTTNews) - Huron Consulting Group Inc (HURN) Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $12.2 million or $0.53 per share compared with $17.2 million or $0.75 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.62 per share compared with $0.65 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were up 13.3% at $198 million compared with $174.7 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.67 per share on revenues of $198.8 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $3.35 to $3.45 per share on revenues of $815 million to $825 million. It earlier expected earnings of $3.25 to $3.40 per share on revenues of $805 million to $825 million.

Analysts expect earnings of $3.39 per share on revenues of $824.2 million for the year.
