HSBC Bank USA Appoints Ashley Parker Regional President for New York City
HSBC Bank USA, N.A. has appointed Ashley Parker, an international banker with over 27 years finance industry experience, to run its New York City branch operations. He replaces James Emmett who recently relocated to Hong Kong to undertake a strategic role for the HSBC Group.
Parker arrives from HSBC Bermuda where he was responsible for the Bank’s personal financial services, commercial banking, eBanking, payments and cash management, marketing and product developments divisions. Since joining HSBC in 1994, he has held positions in Australia, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Korea, where he was Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this he worked for a number of Australian banking and financial services organizations.
In his current role, Parker oversees some 117 branches across the five boroughs of New York City with around 1400 staff. He is responsible for growing HSBC’s retail banking business and ensuring it delivers a consistently superior level of customer experience for all customers who utilize branch services.

A native of Australia, Ashley Parker completed an accounting degree at Cowan University, Western Australia, and earned a post graduate diploma in applied finance and investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
