Helen Of Troy Q3 Profit Down; Backs FY14 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Helen of Troy Ltd (HELE), Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $37.5 million, or $1.16 per share, compared to $37.7 million, or $1.18 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect earnings of $1.09 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenues for the quarter grew 1.6% percent to $380.73 million from $374.60 million last year, while four analysts estimated revenues of $378.25 million for the quarter.

For the fiscal year 2014, the company continues to expect earnings of $3.13 to $3.23 per share, adjusted earnings of $3.50 to $3.60 per share and net revenues of $1.29 billion to $1.32 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $3.55 per share on revenues of $1.33 billion for the year.
