Healthpointe's Psychology Department Welcomes Dr. Stephanie Johnson

TEMECULA, Calif., May 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Healthpointe is pleased to announce the addition of clinical psychologist Stephanie L. Johnson, Psy.D., to their medical team. Dr. Johnson has now joined a dynamic group of doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists. The focus of Healthpointe's providers is to help patients receive the highest level of healthcare services. Her experience in the field of clinical psychology, along with her research of substance abuse and neuropsychiatric disorders ensures that her wealth of knowledge will be put to good use when treating patients.

Dr. Johnson has received extensive training in the field of clinical psychology. She attended California State University, Long Beach for her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She then received her Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of La Verne in June, 2014. Following her Master's Degree, Dr. Johnson received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of La Verne in August, 2017. While accomplishing both her Masters and Doctorate, she completed an internship in Forensic Psychology at Orange Psychological Services. Dr. Johnson then completed a post-doctoral training program in behavioral medicine with Ibemed, a Professional Psychological Corporation. Dr. Johnson's post-doctoral training was focused on providing integrated psychological services in medical facilities. Dr. Johnson has also received additional certification as a certified clinical trauma professional and a certified sex offender treatment provider. Additionally, Dr. Johnson has received training in EMDR and in domestic violence advocate training.
