Handelsbanken Continues to Grow in the UK

Handelsbanken continues to grow in the UK, branch by branch. To support the branches in Yorkshire and the north-east of the UK, another regional bank is being established, with its head office in Leeds.

Each branch in Handelsbanken’s home markets is linked to a regional bank. The regional bank has the joint administrative resources, regional expertise and specialists to support the branch’s business.

A fifth regional bank is now being formed in the UK. It is expected to be fully operational from 1 January 2015.

The head of the new regional bank will be Simon Lodge, who is currently Head of Regional Bank Southern Great Britain (see a separate press release).
