Gilbraltar Industries Sees Q4 Results Below View; Narrows FY17 Earnings Outlook

(RTTNews) - While reporting its third-quarter financial results, building products manufacturer Gibraltar Industries, Inc. (ROCK) forecast financial results for the fourth quarter below analysts' estimates. In addition, the company lowered its full-year revenue guidance and also narrowed its adjusted earnings outlook.

For the fourth quarter of 2017, the company forecast revenue in a range of $231 million to $236 million, and reported earnings between $0.23 and $0.30 per share, or adjusted earnings of $0.29 to $0.36 per share.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to earn $0.38 per share on revenues of $240.97 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

In addition, Gibraltar Industries lowered its fiscal 2017 revenue guidance to a range of $960 million to $965 million. The company also narrowed its full-year earnings guidance and now expects reported earnings between $1.40 and $1.47 per share, or adjusted earnings of $1.60 to $1.67 per share.

Earlier, the company forecast full-year adjusted earnings of $1.57 to $1.70 per share, and revenue of $970 million to $980 million.

The Street expects earnings of $1.58 per share for the year on revenues of $971.03 million.
