German American Bancorp Q4 Profit Up

(RTTNews) - German American Bancorp Inc. (GABC) Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $6.6 million or $0.50 per share, up from $6.2 million or $0.49 per share in the same period last year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.47 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net-interest income improved to $18.94 million from $17.0 million last year. Net interest margin was 3.73 percent, compared to 3.66 percent last year. Non-interest income totaled $6.15 million, up from $6.02 million last year.
