Fox News Announces Post-Ailes Leadership Team
(RTTNews) - Media baron Rupert Murdoch Friday announced the appointment of a new leadership team to run Fox News, owned by 21st Century Fox Inc. (FOXA), after former CEO Roger Ailes resigned on allegations of sexual harassment.
Fox Television Stations Chief Executive Jack Abernethy and Senior Executive Vice President Bill Shine were named co-presidents of Fox News, effective immediately.
Both Abernethy and Shine will report to Rupert Murdoch, Executive Chairman of 21st Century Fox and Executive Chairman of FOX News Channel & FOX Business Network.
Abernethy and Shine will "divide responsibilities for all facets of the networks," the company said.
Abernethy will also take care of all business components of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network including finance, advertising sales and distribution units. While, Shine will run all programming and news functions of each network, including production, technical operations and talent management.
Suzanne Scott has been named Executive Vice President of Programming and Development for FNC and will continue reporting to Shine.
