Fotis Hasiotis Joins Lazard as Co-Head of European Financial Sponsors Group

Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) announced today that Fotis Hasiotis has joined the firm as a Co-Head of the European Financial Sponsors Group, effective immediately. Based in London, Mr Hasiotis will lead the Group alongside Isabelle Xoual in Paris. He joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was Head of EMEA Financial Sponsors.

Mr Hasiotis has spent the last fifteen years advising Financial Sponsor clients. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2004 as a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors group in New York, and moved to London as Head of EMEA Financial Sponsors in 2008. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr Hasiotis was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors group at CIBC World Markets in New York. He began his investment banking career at Bankers Trust in 1989, joining its Financial Sponsors group in 1995.

Mr Hasiotis attended Tufts University and the Columbia Business School.
