FMC Technologies Inc. Reveals 25% Drop In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - FMC Technologies Inc. (FTI) reported earnings for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings fell to $140 million, or $0.61 per share. This was lower than $187 million, or $0.79 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 21.7% to $1.55 billion. This was down from $1.98 billion last year.
