Flagstar Bancorp Q3 Profit Increases

(RTTNews) - Flagstar Bancorp Inc. (FBC) Tuesday announced an increase in third quarter net income to $57 million or $0.96 per share from $47 million or $0.69 per share last year. On an adjusted basis, earnings were $41 million.

On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.62 per share. Analysts' estimates usually exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter increased to $80 from $77 million, and non-interest income climbed to $156 million from $128 million last year. Wall Street expected revenue of $75.37 million.
