First Of Long Island Q2 Profit Shrinks

(RTTNews) - First of Long Island Corp. (FLIC) Monday reported second-quarter profit of $5.31 million or $0.58 per share, down from $5.40 million or $0.60 per share in the same period last year.

Three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.59 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net-interest income increased slightly to $15.46 million from $15.30 million last year. Other income totaled $1.70 million, down from $5.19 million last year.

Provision for loan losses were $947 thousand, compared to $623 thousand last year.
