Fidelity National Financial Plans $400 Mln Stock Offering

(RTTNews) - Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (FNF) said Wednesday that it plans to make a public offering of about $400 million of shares of its common stock. The underwriters will be granted an option to purchase additional common stock equal to 15% of the amount of shares offered.

The net proceeds from thE offering will be used to pay a portion of the cash consideration for the previously announced merger with Lender Processing Services, Inc. (LPS), Fidelity National said. If the company does not consummate the merger, the net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include the repurchase of shares of its common stock.
