Fernando Campos to lead Ponsse subsidiary in Brazil

Fernando Campos Passos, BA, 36, has been appointed managing director of Ponsse Latin America Ltda, Ponsse’s subsidiary in Brazil. Campos takes up the position on 1 August 2018. The current managing director of the subsidiary, Marko Mattila, takes on the role of developing Ponsse’s worldwide retail network.

Fernando Campos transfers to the new position from his position as sales and marketing manager of Ponsse Latin América Ltda. Campos joined Ponsse in 2006, and over the years has worked in logistics, spare parts, sales and marketing. As marketing director, Campos will be stationed in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, and will report to Ponsse Group’s sales and marketing director Jarmo Vidgrén.

                                                                                                                      
Marko Mattila appointed director, Ponsse retail network

Forestry engineer, MBA Marko Mattila, 44, has been appointed director, with responsibility for Ponsse’s retail network and its development and expansion. He takes up the position on 1 August 2018. Marko Mattila will also supervise Ponsse’s regional management organisation. Mattila reports to Ponsse sales and marketing director Jarmo Vidgrén.

Regional managers are responsible for Ponsse’s operations in the following market areas: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia (area director Jussi Hentunen); Canada (area director Eero Lukkarinen); Germany and Austria (area director Tuomo Moilanen); Australia, Portugal, Spain and South Africa (area director Janne Tarvainen). The market area operations of Ponsse’s other subsidiaries are handled by their respective managing directors, and they report to sales and marketing director Jarmo Vidgrén.

Marko Mattila transfers to the new position from his previous post as managing director of Ponsse Latin América Ltda, which he has held since 2016. Mattila joined Ponsse in 2007 as managing director of Ponsse North America Inc, Ponsse’s subsidiary in the USA, and as area director of North America. Between 2011 and 2016, Marko Mattila was area director of Ponsse Plc, with responsibility for the retailers in North America, the Baltic countries and Chile.
