Farmers Insurance Donates $20,000 To Help Support San Diego Armed Service YMCA

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance^®, an organization founded by two World War I veterans in 1928, today volunteered in support of active duty military personnel and veterans at the Armed Services YMCA in San Diego. Farmers^® executives, agents and district managers participated in the annual Neighborhood Food Exchange to provide local military families with necessary food and supplies. Farmers also hosted a business attire distribution event as part of its Suits for Soldiers program, where more than 300 suits were distributed to local veterans to support their transition into civilian life.

Earlier this week, Farmers announced more than 70,000 pieces of business attire had been collected in 2016 and were ready to be distributed to military veterans across the country.

Farmers Insurance also presented a donation of $20,000 to help support the San Diego Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA).
