Family Dollar Names Christopher Nielsen Vice President – Loss Prevention
Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO) today announced that it has named Christopher Nielsen to the position of Vice President – Loss Prevention. Mr. Nielsen will report to Bryan Venberg, Senior Vice President – Human Resources.
"Chris has been instrumental in driving our culture of accountability and customer service while helping to make Family Dollar a safer place to shop and work,” said Mr. Venberg. "With Chris’ ongoing leadership, we will continue to drive loss prevention initiatives that reduce inventory shrinkage and provide a compelling shopping environment for our shoppers and our team members.”
Mr. Nielsen began his career at Family Dollar in 1998 as Regional Loss Prevention Director, and was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2001. Prior to joining Family Dollar, he served as Regional Loss Prevention Manager at Jumbo Sports. Mr. Nielsen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Missouri State University.
