Exterran Holdings Q3 Earnings Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Exterran Holdings, Inc. (EXH) Tuesday reported a drop in earnings as well as revenues for the third quarter.

Net earnings were $34.05 million or $0.48 per share, down from $40.98 million or $0.62 per share a year ago.

Excluding certain items, earnings from continuing operations were $17.76 million or $0.25 per share.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.29. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Revenues declined to $723.8 million, from $775.6 a year earlier, below the $759.55 million Wall Street expected.

"We are optimistic about the outlook for the fourth quarter 2014, although the recent decline in oil prices may have an impact on future industry activity levels," CEO Brad Childers said .

The company also recommended a dividend of $0.15 per share, payable on November 17 to stockholders of record on November 10.
