eWork Scandinavia AB: Zoran Covic Appointed new CEO of eWork
Regulatory News:
eWork Scandinavia AB (publ)(STO:EWRK) – the largest consultant broker in the Nordic region – has appointed Zoran Covic as new President and CEO. Zoran is currently Manager of the company’s operations in Malmö and Copenhagen. He succeeds Claes Ruthberg who has been President and CEO for eWork during the past 12 years.
eWork, who’s share is listed at Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, in 2012 reported net sales of SEK 3,525 million and thus ranked as Sweden’s fourth largest IT-consultant supplier, with over 3,000 consultants on assignment within the fields of IT, telecoms, technology, and business development. The profit before tax was SEK 62 million. This spring the company will get a new CEO in Zoran Covic, who has been with eWork since 2012, coming from a previous position in Logica, where one of his responsibilities was head of strategic sales.
"As I’m a very competitive person, it is with great anticipation that I accept the challenge to secure what my colleagues have accomplished under the leadership of Claes, and to gear up eWork further by serving more customers with all their needs of consultants within IT, technology and business development”, comments Zoran Covic.
"We are very pleased to have been able to recruit an internal candidate as CEO of the company”, says eWork’s Chairman of the Board, Staffan Salén. ”Zoran is very enterprising and has in a relatively short period in the company demonstrated strong leadership with a clear focus on sales.”
"I also wish to express my thanks to Claes Ruthberg for his time as CEO”, continues Staffan Salén. ”In 12 years he has successfully built the company from SEK 20 million of net sales to over SEK 3.5 billion. It’s a remarkable accomplishment that only very few can match. We are also very pleased that Claes will continue to contribute as a Board Member in the company.”
"After 12 intense years as CEO of eWork, I feel it’s the right time to step down from operational responsibilities in order to focus on board assignments and advice to other growth companies”, says Claes Ruthberg.
Zoran Covic will take over after the turn of the year and no later than at the AGM next year. This will secure a smooth and orderly transfer of his current responsibilities.
eWork has been one of Sweden’s fastest growing companies since it’s foundation in 2000. The principal owners are the Salén family with a 28 percent ownership and the company’s founder Magnus Berglind with 19 percent.
eWork Scandinavia AB is a complete consulting provider with over 3,000 consultants on assignment within the fields of IT, telecoms, technology, and business development. eWork provides an objective selection of specialists from the largest consultant network on the market, which brings clients better pricing, quality and time efficiency. eWork has framework agreements with more than 130 clients among the Nordic region’s leading companies active in most sectors.
