Eversource Energy Reveals 12% Gain In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Eversource Energy (ES) reported earnings for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $265.32 million, or $0.83 per share. This was higher than $235.92 million, or $0.74 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.80 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.7% to $2.04 billion. This was up from $1.93 billion last year.
