Esmertec Joins UIQ Alliance Partner Program

Esmertec™ (SWX:ESMN) today announced that it has joined UIQ’s Alliance partner program to offer Esmertec’s leading Jbed™ Advanced Java™ Multi-tasking Virtual Machine (MVM) to UIQ customers globally. The availability of Jbed integrated on the UIQ platform will enable UIQ Technology to offer its customers a powerful platform, on which various applications and services such as internet browsing, 3D gaming, payment services or Bluetooth™ can be created and deployed across multiple devices. Esmertec’s flexible and scaleable Jbed Advanced software platform powers various mass-market handsets world-wide and enables developers to create cool, new applications and services for the next-generation of mobile phones, which meets the end users’ demands for customized handsets and enhanced user experiences.
