Ennis Slips To Loss On Impairment Charges

(RTTNews) - Business forms and apparel company Ennis Inc (EBF) on Monday reported third-quarter net loss of $71 million or $2.76 per share compared with a profit of $9.3 million or $0.36 per share last year.

Results for the recent quarter included, among other items, impairment charges of $79 million.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.31 per share.

Revenues for the quarter were $147 million compared with $136.6 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.34 per share on revenues of $145.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
