Elia, Belgium’s Electricity Transmission System Operator, Chooses Integrated Talent Management and Talent Acquisition System from Lumesse
Lumesse, (OSE:STP)(LSE:STPS) a global leader in talent management solutions, has been chosen by Elia, Belgium’s electricity transmission system operator, to create an integrated talent management and talent acquisition system for over 1200 employees, to replace its current HR processes . The implementation of Lumesse Talent Management will include all modules of the solution and an integration with its Lumesse TalentLink talent acquisition solution.
Elia is responsible for the transmission of electricity across Belgium. Elia's grid forms a key connection between France, Europe's largest electricity exporter, and the markets of Northern Europe. Elia’s various international HR departments all had their own processes and systems for talent acquisition and talent management. Elia was looking to use a single integrated system throughout the entire company, particularly for its recruitment processes, employee evaluations, competency management and career & succession planning.
"We are seeing more and more companies seeking well-integrated solutions that work across multiple countries to give a seamless view of their talent,” said Matthew Parker, Lumesse CEO. "Elia’s project will allow it to acquire great people and manage their careers for maximum benefit on both sides across all the countries where it operates.”
Elia’s former HR process, involving a number of different standalone systems for each individual office, was no longer a effective approach. Elia intends to reduce the amount of time that each HR manager has to spend on the employee evaluations and competency management. With a single system in place Elia will meet this objective.
Kathleen van der Paelt, HR director, Elia explains – "We are very happy to move from the different systems to a single system from Lumesse. We will introduce the system in the whole company. Competency Management and Career & Succession planning are very important in our skills-based organisation. We will also be monitoring our workforce's performance and capabilities to help retain our most talented employees to build a strong business for the future”.
Alfons Steenmans, Country Managing Director for Lumesse in Belgium adds: "Elia’s processes will be enhanced by an integrated approach to managing performance, career development and succession planning. The solutions will enable all parts of the company to follow standardised policies and procedures for talent management.”
