EHealth To Cut Approx. 160 Positions In U.S. - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - eHealth, Inc. (EHTH) announced a strategic cost reduction program. Under the program, the company estimates 15% reduction in its workforce or approximately 160 positions. eHealth expects to incur pre-tax restructuring charges of between approximately $3.7 million and $4.7 million consisting primarily of employee termination benefits and related costs, as well as facility costs and other restructuring charges.

The company said the cost reduction program aims to increase efficiencies and accelerate return to profitability through a reduction of fixed costs, the majority of which comes from employee costs in the customer care and enrollment and technology and content groups.
