Egencia Picks Cegedim to Roll out Clients Electronic Invoicing in 18 Countries

After successfully implementing electronic invoicing for its European clients, Egencia has demonstrated its trust in Cegedim by again calling upon its expertise to extend electronic invoicing to international clients.

Egencia, one of the world’s leading business travel agents, having experimented with and adopted electronic invoicing for a portion of its European clients, has now decided to expand the system to new countries. To do so, Egencia is again calling upon Cegedim and its GIS (Global Information Services) platform.

Taking electronic invoicing international

Egencia has already implemented electronic invoicing for the majority of its European clients and now wants to build on its efforts by offering electronic invoicing in additional countries, such as Australia, Sweden, India, the Czech Republic and Poland. Overall, the project will replace paper invoice 1.8 to 2 million invoices a year with signed pdf files.

GIS, recognized service quality

Following a call for bids in January 2008, Egencia chose Cegedim’s electronic invoicing solution, which is integrated with the interoperable GIS (Global Information Services) platform. This year, Egencia’s teams decided to renew the contract and extend it to other countries.

Egencia decided on a solution that allows to send invoices as electronically signed pdf files and lets clients view invoices over Egencia’s portal. Cegedim ensures that all invoices meet the legal requirements of the country in which they are issued and are stored for 10 years in compliant form.

Thanks to Cegedim, Egencia will be able to give its clients access to invoices directly via their private reservation site, alongside their reservation history, which is unique in the market. All of the information needed by business travelers and Travel Managers is available around the clock in a single location, accessible using a single login.
