EchoStar 2013 Profit Plunges - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - EchoStar Corp. (SATS), a provider of satellite operations and video delivery solutions, reported that its fiscal 2013 net income attributable to the company plunged to $2.53 million from $211.05 million in the prior year. On a per share, net income sharply declined to $0.03 from $2.40 in the previous year.

Annual total revenue grew to $3.28 billionfrom last year's $3.12 billion.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.12 per share and revenues of $3.29 billion for fiscal 2013. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company expects DISH Network will continue to be the primary customer and the key revenue contributor for its EchoStar Technologies segment.
