Dunedin Staple, Kelly's Chic a Boom Room Now Crown and Bull

DUNEDIN, Fla., March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Dunedin staple has now become Crown and Bull, bringing the west-central Florida city a fresh new take on dining.

The building that has housed the popular Dunedin bar and restaurant Kelly's Chic a Boom Room has been around since 1918, in that time it has been home to a number of different businesses. Today sees the dawn of a new local watering hole and eatery – the Crown and Bull.

Owner Dion Falzon is a Dunedin local, both he and his brother who is the head chef were born and raised in the community. His mission once he acquired the former Kelly's was not to wash away the history, but to preserve them and make the overall experience something that Dunedin has never seen. This can be seen by the décor which pays homage to the historic location at 319 Main Street as well as Dunedin itself.

"We kept the best parts of Kelly's, but updated the facilities, expanded and most importantly created a unique and rewarding dining experience", said owner Dion Falzon. "Kelly's was always known for their breakfast, we still will be maintaining that in addition to our new Bloody Mary bar, we updated and added to the lunch and dinner menus to make it even better".

The defining characteristic of the new food menu is the focus on local, responsibly sourced, fresh ingredients. The fish is wild, organic ingredients are used throughout the menu, cage-free and non-GMO chicken, as well as grass-fed meat with no hormones, are served. Life Farms in Clearwater, Florida supplies most of the other fresh produce and ingredients.

In addition to the focus on the fresh, wholesome dining experience, Crown and Bull will now serve food until 1 AM and will have live music seven days a week.

The name change is manifested in the logo, a crown atop the head of a bulldog. The crown represents the attention to detail and quality, while the bulldog is an image of Falzon's own dog and Dunedin's fun-loving and dog-friendly atmosphere.
