Donaldson Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Filtration systems provider Donaldson Company, Inc. (DCI) posted almost flat net earnings of $73 million for its fiscal 2014 fourth quarter. However, on a per share basis, quarterly earnings stood at $0.50, 4% higher than $0.48, reported a year back. Excluding special items, net earnings per share were $0.51 during the period. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.47 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Net sales for the quarter went up by 6% to $668 million from $633 million a year earlier, while the consensus sales estimate was $654.67 million. During the quarter, the foreign currency translation impact improved sales by 0.8 percent, and it increased net earnings by 0.5 percent.

For the fiscal year 2015, the company expects sales to be between $2.57 billion and $2.67 billion, or an increase of 4 - 8 percent, and per-share earnings of between $1.81 and $2.01. Analysts forecast annual earnings of $1.93 per share on revenues of $2.62 billion.
