    CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2005--Digital Lightwave(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking technology and test instruments, today announced DMOptics as an addition to their European distribution network. DMOptics will promote and support the full line of Digital Lightwave's Network Information Computers (NICs) in the United Kingdom. The range includes portable analyzers for OTN, 10/100/Gigabit Ethernet, SONET/SDH, DWDM, Packet over SONET/SDH, ATM, and T/E-Carrier communications networks. In this non-exclusive distributor agreement, DMOptics will also provide Tier 1 technical support.

    Digital Lightwave's distribution channel partners have existing, longstanding telecom relationships within their respective territories. Additionally, distributors provide Tier 1 technical support for Digital Lightwave products.
    European network providers have been early implementers of Next Generation Network (NGN) technologies creating a strong marketplace for Digital Lightwave's Network Information Computer(R) (NIC(R)) and Network Access Agent(R) (NAA(R)) products featuring Generic Framing Procedure (GFP), Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS), and Virtual Concatenation (VCAT).
