ABK Bavarian Beer Wins 2 Gold Medals

ROK Stars PLC, the consumer products and environmental technologies development company, has announced its ABK Bavarian Beers have been awarded two Gold Medals by the Beverage Testing Institute in the United States.

Citing ABK's Hell and Edel beers as 'exceptional' these latest awards follow the 10 Gold Medals gifted to ABK by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (German Agricultural Society) in the past 2 years alone.

ROK Stars acquired the majority interest in the historic 700 year old Aktien Brauerei in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria in May 2013 and has since re-designed and re-packaged a range of beers for international export under the brand 'ABK Beer - Since 1308'.

Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Stars said "We are enormously proud that our beers continue to be recognised and rewarded internationally for their outstanding quality and taste. Winning such awards is key to the global deployment of our ABK brand and our beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are now being exported outside Germany."

With a growing drinks portfolio which, in addition to ABK Beer, includes UB Real Irish Whiskey and Bogart's Gin, ROK Drinks was co-founded by John Paul DeJoria, known as 'America's favourite entrepreneur,' and British entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick with a mandate to 'build the mega-brands of tomorrow, today'.

John Paul DeJoria is best known as the co-founder of Paul Mitchell, the largest privately held hair care business in North America, as well as being co-founder of Patron Tequila, the world's Number 1 premium tequila brand.
