DGAP-News: Nanogate equity holding Vogler increases capacities and expands range of services
Göttelborn, Germany, 2 March 2016. Nanogate AG, a leading international integrated systems provider for high-performance surfaces, is progressing with the expansion of its technology portfolio. Its Vogler GmbH subsidiary, based in Lüdenscheid, will be putting a new coating facility - more flexible and better performing than the previous machine - into operation in the second quarter of 2016. By comparison, the new production line offers significantly greater capacity and a broader range of applications. Further investments in the Nanogate subsidiary, which was acquired in 2014, are planned for the current 2016 financial year. The volume at Vogler runs into the low single-digit millions. In parallel, Nanogate is continuing the expansion of its application portfolio, also across the Group. This primarily includes the expansion of the new technology platform for the multifunctional metallisation of surfaces, marketed under the N-Metals Chrome brand. Production is scheduled to begin this year.
Nanogate AG's CEO, Ralf Zastrau, commented: "Components with high-quality designs and perfect optical quality are in great demand for many applications, such as in the car industry, for example. The new coating facility means that the Nanogate Group is well positioned to supply customers with multi-dimensional components. Additional applications and technologies, including, for example, the new platform for the multifunctional metallisation of surfaces under the N-Metals Chrome brand, are important pillars of our Phase5 growth strategy. In the medium term, Nanogate is aiming to exceed EUR 100 million in sales and to increase its profitability. Across the Group, significant funds are therefore flowing into new technologies and into opening up new, international markets, in order to continue the Group's course of growth over the medium and long term. In the 2015 financial year already, the Group recorded strong demand thanks to its broad applications portfolio, which meant that we were able to raise the annual forecast at the beginning of November. We also recorded strong end-of-year business."
Expansion of the technology portfolio The new coating technology of subsidiary Vogler GmbH in Lüdenscheid (North Rhine-Westphalia) can also enhance complex components (2.5D components), thereby significantly expanding the company's range of applications. A flexible and efficient technology is employed that significantly increases capacity over the previous machine. The new facility is scheduled to go into full operation in the second quarter of 2016; production is gradually restarting at present. Despite the high level of demand, the company has ensured that all customers have received full service since the beginning of the changeover period in November 2015. Nanogate acquired the surface specialist Vogler in the summer of 2014. Vogler specialises in technically advanced coatings for decorative and transparent, multifunctional surfaces.
