Del Monte Foods Participates in the American Dietetic Association's Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo in Chicago
Del Monte Foods (NYSE:DLM) is committed to helping American families improve their diets and their lives. At this year's 2008 American Dietetic Association (ADA) Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo in Chicago, IL on October 25 through October 28, the Company will share with dietitians the many health benefits of Del Monte Foods products and how they easily fit into the active, on-the-go lifestyle American families lead today.
Activities at the Company’s booth (number 1442) will include a look at the Just One More for Healthy Living™ program; healthy recipe tastings with the Company's own dietitian Laura Ali; samplings of a variety of new Del Monte® brand products, including Del Monte Superfruit™ snacks, Del Monte Fruit Naturals® Apples & Oranges, and Red Grapefruit Bowls, which expand on the Company’s popular line of good-for-you, convenient packaged fruit snacks; and presentation of new research from Rutgers University, commissioned by the Canned Food Alliance, which reveals the key factors that influence the foods moms select and serve. Carol Byrd-Bredbenner, Ph.D., RD, FADA, lead researcher, Nutritional Sciences Department, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey will be at the booth on Sunday to discuss how moms differ in making food decisions that affect the entire family’s nutrition.

In support of Just One More for Healthy Living™, Del Monte’s registered dietitian, Laura Ali, will offer recipe tastings that highlight how consumers can use products such as Del Monte® vegetables to get one more serving daily.
