DeFi and Royal Caribbean Launch Royal Connect on Oasis of the Seas

DeFi, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lion Capital Holdings Inc., (OTCBB: LCHL), and Royal Caribbean International (NYSE: RCL) announced today the launch of Royal Connect, an information, communications and location-based navigation software solution for smartphones powered by DeFi, on Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship. Custom designed with a patent pending suite of tools and tightly integrated software solutions, the application allows guests to view the daily Cruise Compass; communicate with other guests with instant messaging and dial shipboard extensions using digital voice; and locate family and friends onboard – by using a mobile device. The Royal Connect application has created a never-before-seen cruise experience deployed currently on an Apple iPhone and based on DeFi’s FUNfinder navigation technology.

Guests can stay in touch with Royal Connect – whether at the spa, in the gym or on the Boardwalk. Royal Connect is based on the latest Wi-Fi technology and uses more than 1,000 access points throughout Oasis of the Seas to ensure bow-to-stern connectivity. Empowered by Royal Connect’s custom software from DeFi, guests can dial any extension on the ship or ‘text’ another guest with a Royal Connect device.

DeFi‘s custom-designed FUNfinder navigation technology enables the Royal Connect device to display the onboard locations of other Royal Connect devices, with the consent of each device’s respective owners. Parents also can choose to fit their children under the age of 12 with an identification wristband that is integrated with a Wi-Fi locator chip, linked to the parents’ Royal Connect device. With the location-enabled identification wristband, kids can enjoy their cruise vacation throughout the ship while parents have peace-of-mind by knowing the location of their children.

Royal Connect is available for rent to guests for $17.50 each, on a first-come, first-served basis for the duration of the cruise. DeFi developed the next-generation software solution that includes mapping software, database management software, security software, device management software, navigation and location based software, chat software and digital voice software, all of which power the iPhone.

Oasis of the Seas is the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. An architectural marvel at sea, she spans 16 decks, encompasses 225,282 gross registered tons, carries 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and features 2,700 staterooms.
