David M. Platter to Join Credit Suisse as Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking for the Americas

Credit Suisse is pleased to announce that David M.Platter will join the Bank as Head of Financial InstitutionsInvestment Banking for the Americas.

Mr. Platter joins the Bank as a Managing Director from SagentAdvisors Inc., an M&A boutique launched in 2004, where he was head oftheir FIG practice. Previously, Mr. Platter was Senior ManagingDirector and Head of Global FIG at Bear Stearns from 2000 to 2004. Mr.Platter began his career in 1985 as a FIG banker at Morgan Stanley.After nine years, he joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he alsoworked in their FIG practice, before joining Bear Stearns.

"David is one of the most senior and experienced bankers in themanaged care and insurance sectors on the Street, having representednumerous clients in this space as well as at private equity andbroking firms," said Vikram Gandhi, Global Head of the FinancialInstitutions Group for Credit Suisse. "He is a noteworthy appointmentto our team and we look forward to sharing his market knowledge andbanking experience with our clients," he continued.

Mr. Platter completed his undergraduate studies at the Universityof California, Berkeley, graduating with a BS degree in 1981. Hereceived his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in1985.
