Heartland Payment Systems® (NYSE: HPY), one of the nation’s largest payments processors, has named David J. Hogan as Executive Director, Major Accounts. Bringing more than 25 years of experience in information technology and retail operations, Hogan will lead Heartland’s Major Accounts sales team focused on driving significant business growth among mid-to-large level businesses in the retail and hospitality industries.

Prior to joining Heartland, Hogan served as chief information officer and senior vice president of retail operations for the National Retail Federation (NRF), the world’s largest retail association. Named to Executive Technology’s list of the "Top 50 Most Influential People in Retail,” Hogan previously served as chief information officer and vice president for international retailer, Duty Free Americas. He has held senior level positions with The Limited, Inc., serving as business unit chief information officer for its Lane Bryant division and vice president of MIS for specialty footwear retailer, The Kobacker Company.

"Dave Hogan is an important and credible leader in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchant communities and is recognized for his broad knowledge of their technology requirements,” said Bob Carr, Heartland’s chairman and chief executive officer. "As we launch our expanding E3™ and Mobuyle™ solutions and lead the industry into the adoption of the new EMV and NFC initiatives, we expect Dave’s passionate advocacy of merchant rights and his strong belief in our fair-dealing business model to help us change the game for many merchants. We are excited to have Dave join our team.”
