Cypress Semiconductor Reports 63% Increase In Q2 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Cypress Semiconductor (CY) revealed earnings for its second quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $74.70 million, or $0.21 per share. This was up from $45.89 million, or $0.13 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.6% to $593.78 million. This was up from $531.87 million last year.
