Cypress Semiconductor CFO Brad Buss Retires - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (CY) Wednesday said Brad Buss, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will retire from the company after eight years of service.

Thad Trent, currently Vice President of Finance, has been elected to takeover Brad's role as EVP and CFO. Post to September 1, 2014, Buss will become a non-employee advisor to the Board and the CEO through April 30, 2015.

Thad Trent previously held finance management roles at publicly traded companies like River Systems and Wyle Electronics, as well as two technology startups.

Additionally, Cypress also said, "Q1 was strong and as such it should exceed the higher end of the range of prior guidance with revenue in the $169 million to $171 million range. "
