CVR Energy Posts Q4 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - CVR Energy, Inc. (CVI) reported a fourth-quarter net loss to stockholders of $21.7 million, or $0.25 per share, compared to net income of $40.2 million, or $0.46 per share, last year. The company said its 2013 fourth-quarter results were impacted by a net loss on derivatives of $115.9 million. Adjusted net income, per share was $0.71, for the quarter.

On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.39 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales increased to $2.44 billion, from $1.88 billion, prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $2.11 billion for the quarter.

The company also announced a fourth-quarter cash dividend of $0.75 per share. The dividend will be paid on March 10, 2014, to stockholders of record on March 3, 2014.
