CSC Selected as a 2010 Best for Vets Employer
CSC (NYSE:CSC) announced today that the Military Times EDGE magazine selected the company as a 2010 Best for Vets Employer. The distinction recognizes companies for commitment to providing opportunities to America’s veterans through recruiting efforts; training and mentoring programs; and military reserve support services.
"We’re honored to be recognized as a leading employer for veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces,” said Melinda Evans, chief global diversity officer for CSC. "Critical to our success are the thousands of men and women who have joined CSC following military service, and who now provide the skills, innovation and leadership essential to the amazing work we do every day.”
Companies from the Fortune 1000, the Defense News 100 and Federal Times General Services Administration 250 list were evaluated in four criteria: recruiting; training and mentoring; reserve policies and corporate culture. CSC ranked eighth out of 50 companies. Best for Vets winners are recognized in the August issue of the Military Times EDGE magazine.
CSC recognizes the value, loyalty, diversity and strong work ethic of our nation’s military community. CSC ranked among the Top 10 Military Spouse Hiring Friendly Employers in 2007, 2008 and 2009; and has been recognized by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) as an employer that supports its Guard and Reserve employees.
