Crown Media Holdings Chief Operating Officer Paul FitzPatrick Announces Resignation
Crown Media Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWN), owner and operator of Hallmark Channel, today announced that Paul FitzPatrick, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, has resigned from the Company. Mr. FitzPatrick has been with Crown Media since 2000, serving in his current role since 2001. "Paul has made tremendous contributions to Hallmark Channel,” remarked Henry Schleiff, President and CEO. "Starting with just 16 million subs, Paul’s persistence and expertise were the driving force in expanding Hallmark Channel’s reach into 75 million homes today. Our company is fortunate to have had someone with his talent and commitment, and we wish him success in his future endeavors.” In addition to his role in overseeing Hallmark Channel’s distribution, network operations, IT and human resources, Mr. FitzPatrick was Crown Media’s principal liaison with industry associations and Capitol Hill on matters of public policy. He was also responsible for the launch of the Company’s second 24-hour linear channel, Hallmark Movie Channel. Prior to joining Crown Media, Mr. FitzPatrick served as Chief Operating Officer of the Golf Channel and was President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of News Talk Television. During his career, Mr. FitzPatrick was also President and Chief Operating Officer of The Weather Channel and was President and Chief Operating Officer of Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN).
