Cray Results Crush Estimate; Reaffirms FY Revenue Guidance

(RTTNews) - Supercomputer maker Cray Inc. (CRAY) Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $7.4 million or $0.18 per share compared with a loss of $11 million or $0.29 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.25 per share compared with a loss of $0.35 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $159.4 million compared with $54.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.01 per share on revenues of $125.3 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company expects to be profitable and continues to project revenues of $600 million. Analysts expect revenues of $600.47 million.
