Covanta Holding Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Covanta Holding Corp. (CVA) Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $28 million or $0.22 per share, up from $26 million or $0.19 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $0.28 per share. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.27 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to $427 million from $412 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $426.35 million.
