Prior to the acquisition of Corporate Board Member by NYSE Euronext this past September, Scally had served as Corporate Board Member’s managing editor since 1998. She has also been editor of Bank Director magazine, a quarterly magazine for financial company boards, since 1993.
Corporate Board Member President TK Kerstetter emphasized that Scally’s knowledge of governance and her experience in publishing will ensure the magazine continues to provide the mission critical information directors need to fulfill their responsibilities. "Deborah understands the importance of the relationship that we have developed with corporate board members over the last thirteen years, and has contributed that growth,” Kerstetter stated. "In turn the magazine serves as the informational foundation which will enable Corporate Board Member to advance the NYSE Euronext goal of expanding its board education efforts to public companies globally.”
"Corporate Board Member has been a stalwart provider of governance education for more than a decade, and I am truly excited about the prospects for the magazine in the years ahead,” Scally said. "The critical issues now swirling in Washington and among public and investor arenas are greatly influencing corporate directors’ responsibilities and provide us with tremendous editorial opportunities.”
In addition to serving as editor of the quarterly magazine which reaches 38,000 directors and C-suite officers, Scally will also oversee Corporate Board Member’s online content published on www.boardmember.com as well as the company’s numerous supplemental publications and research.
