Coor Extends Collaboration with Danish Police Service

Regulatory News:

Coor Service Management Holding AB  (STO:COOR)

The Danish police service has decided to exercise an option to extend its agreement of integrated facility management services (IFM) with Coor for a further two years. The agreement encompasses the delivery and development of IFM services to the Danish police’s 210 sites in Denmark, and has a total value of over DKK 200 m annually.

The Danish police service has decided to extend its collaboration with Coor. The extension is for a two-year period from 2017, which means that Coor will be delivering and developing IFM services such as cleaning, restaurant operations, mail services, servicing of 2,200 vehicles, management of lost property, buildings and land maintenance to the Danish police service for a further four years.

"The fact that the Danish police service has already decided to extend the contract shows their confidence in us. This demonstrates that we have an effective partnership and that our staff deliver a high-quality service to the police service’s almost 14,000 employees,” commented Mikael Stöhr, CEO and President of Coor Service Management.

"We’re delighted to be given the opportunity to continue to develop IFM service for the Danish police for a further four years, and to create a delivery that satisfies the police service’s demands for cost-efficient and expedient service that supports operations,” commented Jørgen Utzon, President of Coor Service Management in Denmark.

Coor began the collaboration with the Danish police service in 2012, and has achieved positive results across a number of areas in close collaboration with the police service, including being awarded the Danish Drifsherrepriset prize in 2015 for the unique partnership. Coor has also assisted the Danish police service in digitalizing many of its facility management processes and functions, including recently streamlining the fault reporting process by locating unique QR codes on 35,000 fixtures and fittings, and 3D-mapping 450,000 m2of premises and furnishings.

When the Danish police service completed its IFM tendering process in 2011, the overall goal was to retain existing service standards while also developing its service delivery with the ambition to constantly ensure the most cost-efficient and good operation as possible.

"Overall, we’ve been extremely pleased with Coor’s delivery, which is evident from the latest survey of our service users. We’ve also achieved our goals of streamlining services and generating savings by outsourcing IFM services to a private service provider,” commented Bettina Jensen, Departmental Manager at the Danish Police service.

The contract employs more than 300 Coor staff.
