Constellation Energy Q1 Profit Down, Misses Street; Backs FY25 Forecast; Stock Down - Update

(RTTNews) - Constellation Energy Group, Inc. (CEG), while reporting weak profit in its first quarter below market estimates, on Tuesday reaffirmed its fiscal 2025 adjusted earnings view.

In the pre-market activity on the Nsadaq, Constellation Energy shares were losing around 7 percent to trade at $230.96.

For fiscal 2025, the company continues to expect adjusted operating earnings in the range of $8.90 to $9.60 per share.

The Wall Street analysts on average expect the company to report earnings of $9.45 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

In its first quarter, the company's earnings decreased from the same period last year and missed the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $118 million or $0.38 per share, compares with $883 million or $2.78 per share last year.

Adjusted operating earnings were $673 million or $2.14 per share for the period, compared to $1.82 per share in the same quarter last year.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.15 per share.

The company's revenue for the period rose 10.2% to $6.788 billion from $6.161 billion last year.
